I was born in Kittery, ME on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd.
My family moved to Winter Park, FL in 1970, when my father was stationed at McCoy Air Force Base. I’m a graduate of Bethune-Cookman College now Bethune-Cookman University; where I received by Bachelor of Science in Accounting. It was there that I also met my husband. We are blessed to have a daughter and a son.

My greatest accomplishment is being a supportive wife to my husband, especially after he accepted his calling into the ministry after being married almost 10 years. I’m very active with the church as well as with the Bethune-Cookman Orange County Alumni Chapter. My goal is to eventually turn my hobby of making jewelry into a business. I started making jewelry as a way to occupy my time when we were on the road due to the church.

One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all yours way acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. This scripture helps to center me when I don’t know which direction to move. I have read a lot of books and have enjoyed them all but the one book that always comes to me is Joy by Victoria Christopher Murray. The powerful lesson of moving beyond your hurt and pain with the help of God is just awesome.

As a young girl, my favorite place was the library. I loved to read. A few years ago, I decided to return to my passion of reading. The more I read, the more I yearned to share and discuss with others. At the Faith and Fiction Retreat in 2011, I was blessed to meet Jenelle and some of the ladies of the Women of Character Book Club. Joining this group of ladies allowed me to discuss books, goals and dreams in a loving, friendly environment.
